We are capable of forming deep connections with a chatbot — and that fact alone is cause for concern, says Aaron Ahuvia, Professor of Marketing at the University of Michigan-Dearborn College of Business. One of the most widely published and cited academic experts on non-interpersonal love, Ahuvia warns that we need to pay close attention to how some companies might be tempted to exploit this vulnerability.

The interview was conducted by Professor Margherita Pagani, Associate Dean SKEMA AI School for Business, on the occasion of SKEMA seminar series on AI for sustainable value (SKEMA research centre for Artificial Intelligence).
